Craft tips for writers
When I wandered into my father’s closet a half-century ago, I found a small pile of books by Georges Simenon. Today I have over hundred of his stories and have a website, http://twivelist, where I write very short stories that remind me of characters that Simenon once wrote about.
Intriguing. I’ll be following http://twivelist.com/ and hoping to recognize Simenon characters/elements. Having read 85 of his “Maigrets” and 22 of his “romans durs ” makes this an irresistible challenge. Thanks.
Great portrait !
Always the pipe.
Simenon also wrote, « En poésie, ce n’est pas la matière qui compte : c’est la façon de s’en servir, c’est ce qu’on apporte soi-même… »
Thank you. It’s a rare portrait of him without the pipe. Thanks for stopping by.
